What are angels? They're the fluffy guys with wings right? I believe, as do many people, that angels are beings of pure light, they are here to help and assist us on our path through life. Everyone has a guardian angel, often more than one. These helpers and guides have been with us since birth and are more than willing, in fact, happy, to help us in any way they can. Angels have no particular religion, they have been around much longer than that. Some evidence even goes back to prehistoric cave paintings of winged men and women. In short, angels, whatever form they choose to present to us, have always been here with us.
Angels don't need anything in return - they simply need to be asked, otherwise, due to the universal law of Free-Will, they cannot intervene in our lives. The only exception to the law of Free-Will is when angels will intervene in a life-threatening situation if it is not our time to go. You can talk to your angels out loud, or in your thoughts. Don't worry that the message wont get through; just the intent of talking to these friends will ensure you are heard. Even just think "Angels!" and they will respond. Don't be afraid of asking for too much or feel guilty! Our angels are here to help us in all ways, and anything that helps make our life smoother (even a parking space) they are happy to help with. But remember - you need to ask!
Before our angels can help us, we need to fully release the problem into their hands, without expectation of how it will turn out. So many times we ask for help, and yet we hold onto the problem or refuse to let go, or perhaps we feel we don't truly deserve something, and all these things block your angels from helping. Imagine your angels holding out their hands and you placing the problem or situation in their hands.
Once you have given your problem to the angels or asked for their help, it's important to trust that they will help. Try not to tell them how you want a situation to work out. For example, if you pray for help with your finances, don't ask the angels to help you win the lottery! Simply surrender the problem to them, ask for their assistance and trust that they will help in the best possible way for you at the time.
I believe in a combination of destiny and free will. We choose specific life circumstances and turning points or events in our life before we are born, in order to learn certain lessons, but along the way, we also still have free will. Not everything is set in stone. We have choice of many aspects. Sometimes, when it feels as though your angels aren't listening, there are a few possibilities. Perhaps your prayer has been answered, but in a way in which you didn't expect and so weren't looking for. Or, maybe this situation or particular problem is an important life lesson for you and the angels interference would prevent you from working through it on your own. These are just some thoughts to ponder. Ask your angels to give you clear and easily understood messages and answers - it's okay to ask them to up the volume if you're having trouble understanding! Also, ask them to help you understand the lesson and help you to find the inner resources inside you that will assist you, they are interested in your growth and happiness - anything they can do to help this will be their priority. But sometimes, we just have to fly alone. Another possibility is that you would miss something. For example, if you asked the angels to help you get to the bus-stop on time, but got there just late and missed the bus, it may feel like your angels ignored you. But who is to know that on that bus was an old friend, that running into would have put you in a bad mood for the entire day, or a thief that would have stolen your briefcase? From their higher vibration, angels can see so much more than we can, and linear time as it exists for us, is not an issue for them.
Angels cannot do everything for us, after all, that is why we are here on earth - to grow and learn and progress. So, don't just ask your angels for something then sit back and wait for it to appear. The relationship between ourselves and our angels is the same as any other - a two way street. The angels do their bit and we do ours as well. It's a bit silly to expect to win the lottery but not buying a ticket, for a broad example. So watch out for signs and messages from your angels, such as feathers, shapes in clouds, unusual sightings of animals, news stories, etc. Often our angels will communicate with us through a voice, a vision, dreams, our intuition, or a strong gut feeling to name a few. Don't always expect a 'magical' solution to your problems. A lot of the time, our angels will give us guidance and advice on what to do to improve a situation or relationship, instead of simply 'fixing' it for us. So keep your eyes and ears open!
Working with our angels not only helps improve our lives, but brings about a feeling of satisfaction and safety. After all, these helpers and messengers are here to help and guide all of us - no matter what our religion or beliefs. Talk to your angels often, ask them for help, for advice and guidance, trust your instincts - you've got nothing to lose!
