FAREWELL "BANJO" !!!!

Jonquilow Lowchens are sad, but excited, to announce that "Banjo" (Aust.Ch.Bigglesmere's Jolly Swagman) left Australia in July 2001 for his new home with Marilyn Seglins, at Fairacre Lowchens, in Ontario, Canada.
Banjo came to us here in Sydney in 1998, at age 5 months, from his breeders Peter Scarth and Mike Gaunt at Bigglesmere Lowchens, U.K., and we are forever indebted to them for sending us such a wonderful foundation stud dog. In just 4 litters Banjo has produced for us 3 Best in Specialty Show and 3 Runner-Up Best in Specialty Show winners, as well as 7 Australian champions - amongst them are multiple Best in Group, Runner-up Best in Group, and Class in Show & In Group winners!! Banjo is still at stud (by A.I.) in Australia, but his major work for the future is to bring his wonderful type and temperament to Marilyn's breeding programme at Fairacre in Canada, where he joins his first cousin, Sophie (Can.Ch.Melfield Stage Struck) and her kennel mate Rory (Can.Ch.Bedlam's Aurora Borealis). We know that Marilyn and her family will love Banjo as much as we will continue to do.

We are extremely proud of our two girls from our second litter - this is a repeat mating of Aust.Ch.Bigglesmere's Jolly Swagman (Imp.U.K.) x Aust.Ch.Jayzer Cozette. These two girls were born in a litter of 5 girls and 1 boy on 4.8.2000

Aust.Ch.Olympic Flame (owned B.Riddell) has taken the ring by storm in Sydney, having won many Classes in Group, In Show, Runner Up Best in Group, and BEST IN SPECIALTY SHOW under Breed Specialist judge Rosemarye D'Agostin, in April 2001

Her equally successful litter sister - Aust.Ch.Jonquilow Olympic Gold - "Lea" - lives in Melbourne, Victoria and is owned by Rosemarye d'Agostin. She is shown below aged 6 months. Lea is also a multiple "In Class" and "In Show" including Runner Up Best in Group.

In December 2000 Aust.Ch.Bigglesmere's Liv'n Doll (Imp.U.K.) presented us with a litter of 2 male puppies, their sire is Aust.Ch.Jonquilow Banjo Paterson.

From this litter our latest "rising star" is Jonquilow The Dream Time, known as Merlin, he is already working his 'magic' in the ring, having won 7 Classes in Group, and Reserve Challenge Dog at the Melbourne Royal Show.

Merlin's litter brother - Jonquilow The Never Never - "Magic" lives happily with his family in Sydney. They do not exhibit him in the show ring, but still enjoy keeping in in the traditional lion-clip, which is so unique to the breed.
