Rem boards was established in 1993 and has been providing for surfers around the Mornington peninsula ever since.

The man behind the business is Robert (Rem) van Dorssen who was born in 1970. Since he left his nappies he has always had an interest in water, wind and waves. He was surfing at the age of nine, sailboarding competitively by 12 and has progressively moved into other water sports including kiteboarding, catamaran racing and ocean cruising.

Combining his early skills in carpentry, knowledge of boat building and his passion for surfing he decided to make a mess all over his father's garage, mow on a few blanks and pump out a couple of very average boxy railed surfboards.
