Finite element mesh on tubular joint: generation of 100% quadrilateral grids on shells.
QUAD-SURFACE highlights.
Tubular joints represent one of the most common structural components encountered in the offshore engineering models. Being a general-case surface mesh generator, QUAD-SURFACE creates quality, 100% quadrilateral meshes on tubular joints; at the same time, it allows other parts of complex shell constructions to be attached to one or several joints.
QUAD-SURFACE is new member of the full range of our state-of-the-art quadrilateral mesh generation products.
Licensing, delivery and support.
QUAD-SURFACE is available in the complete source code form, with full commercial license allowing incorporation into your own products. QUAD-SURFACE is written in ANSI C : it will compile and run on any Windows and UNIX platform, without changes to the source code. It is available on no-royalties and no annual renewals basis: there is a one-off price for the unlimited commercial license.
More examples of meshes generated by QUAD-SURFACE on curved surfaces in 3D can be found on the following pages: Example 1, Example 2, Example3. QUAD-SURFACE also allows generation of QUAD9 Lagrangian and QUAD8 Serendipity elements.
