On the Islands of Greece.
Write and illustrate your own Travel Diary in pen and watercolour, which is just one aspect of this Greek Art Tour.
Every day we will be going somewhere different to draw and paint.
Imagine the challenge of painting rugged mountains, the turquoise sea, pebbled beaches, brightly-coloured fishing boats with their yellow nets, shady beach umbrellas and sunbathing people. You will see blue and white domed churches and monasteries and go for strolls through narrow lanes, walking past blue and white painted houses, shaded by bougainvilleas or you can stop a while to paint the romantic sunsets.
You will learn the best way to create quick studies or sketches and larger works in pen and watercolour. Realism or abstract - the choice is yours and your art tutor, Cees, will always be there to help. Cees has wide experience in all styles of painting and drawing and has been leading workshops professionally for many years. He takes pride in getting the best out of the students while enjoying it at the same time.
Usually
painting is from 9.00 am – 1.30 pm. After that you can relax, drink some
Ouzo and have lunch with other artists. The afternoons and the evenings are
free for you to do some more art work, finish what you had started, do some
shopping, sightseeing or go swimming and sunbaking on the beach.
There will be critique days when Cees, your art tutor, will explain how you can bring out the best in your artwork. He can also give you feedback on your personal work. It does not matter whether you are starting out as an artist or are already more advanced, Cees will provide feedback appropriate to your level of expertise.
It is all fun, enjoyment and relaxation. Why not join us? Just give Diana a call and she will send you some more information about the trip.
Non painters, friends, partners etc are also welcome and can join the artists on their excursions.
