The Ancient Arts as taught by Chris Brownie are based on years of traditional and family training. Chris began practising the traditional arts of Tai Chi Chuan, Wushu and Qi Gong in 1971 while living in Singapore. He has studied with the following recognised teachers.

---Master Chang Seah Ming, a student of Grand Master Zhou Yi Shan. Chang Chuan and Bei Fung Tai Chi.

---Master Loo Chi Hu, a student of Professor Ch'en Wei-ming, of the Chih Jou School in Shanghai.

---Master Henry Gibson, Shihan, a student of Grand Master Ikeda Hoshu, Jyoshin Mon-Tai Kiok Ken society.

---Master Lee Bar Chwee, a student of Master Lu Tong-bao of the Sin Kwang Tai Chi Institute.

---Master Peter Chong, Shihan(8th Dan) Kyokushin a student of Sosai Masutatsu Oyama.
